We hope this series will provide an insight into the preparation that goes into the various events our business takes part in. </strong></p> <p><em><strong>Preface:</strong></em></p> <p>On Saturday 20th April, the <a href="http://www.tecsonflowers.com" target="_blank">Tecson Flowers</a> Events team were sent out to <a href="http://www.picc.gov.ph/plenary-hall/" target="_blank">PICC Plenary Hall</a>, in preparation for the prestigious <a href="http://www.mdc.edu.ph" target="_blank">Manila Tytana</a> 2013 Graduation Ceremony.</p> <p>A ceremony of great importance, this day was to be a true celebration as some of the country&#8217;s newest talent entered the working world. </p> <p><em><strong>Inspiration:</strong></em></p> <p>Choosing the right colors for the event was of great importance. The venue itself was a mixture of greens and browns, with a warm yellow hue given by the house lights. Perfect perhaps for a presentation, but potentially catastrophic for showing floral designs in the best light</p> <p>The flowers had to have impact. it was decided that going with varieties with loud and celebratory colors was the only course of action. Great emphasis was placed upon flowers with larger buds, it was imperative that they stood out, so to prevent them from being completely overwhelmed by the venue itself.</p> <p><em><strong>Pre-Production:</strong></em></p> <p>It was decided that the stage would be lined with a landscape design. A task of no small undertaking, as the stages width was approximately a hundred metres long.</p> <p>Each of the corners of the stage would utilise four golden pillar posts  approximately 5-7 ft high. An elegant and practical solution for showing our complex topiary pieces. </p> <p><img alt="image" src="http://media.tumblr.com/186a79557c39b3933ad891c3bdf920d5/tumblr_inline_mlugqfeuPp1qz4rgp.png"/></p> <p><em><strong>Production:</strong></em></p> <p>The most potentially difficult aspect of this operation was the strict time constraints. It was of the utmost importance that all floral arrangements were complete by the specified time. This was because a twenty minute window was the only time granted for the actual installation of the flowers. </p> <p>This required for the team, and products to be safely transported directly to the location. From there, the team created the designs in a location hidden from attendees. This elegant solution allowed for an easier setup , though obviously presented potential problems if something went wrong.
